Tips for Teaching Your Child Cleanliness

Wondering when and how to teach your child about cleanliness? Here are some helpful tips and answers to your questions.

How do I know if my child is ready for toilet training?
Some children are ready for this apprenticeship from 18 months, others show no interest in the pot before 3 years. Many parents start learning about cleanliness when their child is about two and a half years old.

You will know that your child is ready if:
• He is interested in the fact that the big ones use the toilet and ask to try it himself
• He seems to realize that his bed is wet or dirty
• His layer remains dry for at least two hours between two changes and he goes regularly to the saddle
• He developed a sufficient coordination to go up and down the stairs
• He is sensitive to encouragement and congratulations

How can I help my child become clean?
Give him a pot, explain what he's serving (you may need to give him a demonstration!) And let him play with it. Always place the pot in the same place, in an easily accessible place.

To begin, sit your child on the pot without taking off his Xiaomi Baby Cotton Diaper. Incorporate this gesture into the daily routine, before or after a nap, for example, or at bath time.

Then sit your child on the pot without putting a diaper on him. Praise him if he uses it for his needs, it will encourage him to start again. Encourage him when he removes his layer of himself.

When you teach your child about cleanliness, there are a number of things you can not do :

• get upset if he can not use the pot, refuses to use it, or wait until you have put the diaper down for your needs;
• Doing too much by constantly asking him if he needs the pot is boring for everyone;
• Letting your child get anxious about it could be a disgust of toilet training.
• Conversely, do not hesitate to give small rewards, such as stickers, every time your child manages to use the pot.

What is the best pot for a child?
It is important to choose a suitable pot. Our ultra-comfortable pot is adapted to the morphology of the child and has a jet guard.

How long does it take for a child to acquire cleanliness?
Remember that toilet training is done gradually. Every child learns at his own pace, sometimes he regresses and needs to wear diapers again. If this is the case for your child, do not insist, just try again later.

When will my child be clean at night?
Even if your child uses his pot during the day, it will surely take a little time - even a few years - before being a continent all night long. Be patient.

When you begin this phase of learning, explain to your child that you would like him to use his potty at night and place him near his bed. At first, you can continue to put on training pants or diapers. When he makes progress, you can try to make him sleep without.

When you stop using diapers, protect the mattress with a plastic pad. It can also be helpful to get your child used to using the pot before falling asleep.
